Futurity Bio-Ventures exists to keep oil in the ground by supplying lignin (a wood-based chemical) leading a new wave of bio-based materials. One of their first launch products was a water bottle. Futurity needed an activation package that would capture the attention of the recipient from its very first opening.

Key considerations were selecting materials that would not only be robust enough to withstand the rigours of travel but to stand the test of time, repeated use, exploration, and create a ‘Wow’ factor by putting their new recyclable and low product impact water bottle on a pedestal.

Working with Think Packaging, we created a package that seems quite unassuming at first but once opened - smart cardboard engineering, precision, and balance effortlessly raises the water bottle up and into position. This evokes curiosity and draws you in, engaging with the product and the brand.
